Jendean Olson, Organist/Choir Director
Jendean’s love of church music began as a child in church. Luther College in Decorah, Iowa is where she received her bachelor degree in vocal music education, and where she met her husband, Dan, a minister. Continued education included pipe organ lessons and music credits from five other colleges and universities. The St. Olaf Worship and Music Conference greatly enhanced her musical growth.
She has directed church choirs in all her husband’s parishes and today is the elementary music educator in the Algoma Public Schools. She is actively involved as accompanist for the New Day Singers, the good-will ambassadors of the Peninsula Singers. She and Dan have three children and five grandchildren. She continues to support as many musical events in Door County as she can, studies Norwegian heritage and playing duets with her granddaughters at the piano.
Diane Kirkland, Secretary/Treasurer
The Kirkland family has been in Ephraim for five generations as summer residents. Diane has been living year-round in Door County for the past 28 years, as Village Administrator/Clerk for the Village of Ephraim for 26 of those years. She has been Church Secretary since October of 2010. Previous to her move to Door County in 1983, she was in the music industry in New York and Los Angeles as a Promotion Manager and Conference Director, and owned a walkie-talkie rental company. She is at the church office on Wednesdays and Thursdays and can be reached at 854-2804.
