Watchnight Service

Our New Year’s Eve “Watchnight” service is a reflection on the past year and a look forward to the new possibilities God has in store for us. Individual ‘watchwords’ are chosen, and the ’watchword’ for the church will be drawn. At precisely midnight, the organist interrupts the pastor to signal the new year and we all stand to sing “Sing Hallelujah, Praise the Lord.” After the service ends, a pancake breakfast is served.
